After his discovery, he registered the find in the mineral Pietersite-Kiwa-Carving-01records of Britain. His discovery was published in 1964, and the material was named Pietersite.

Pietersiteis a fairly recent discovery and is also known as the Tempest Stone because of its connection to the storm element.  It is said to hold ‘the keys to the kingdom of heaven’.  It links everyday consciousness to the spiritual, reminding you that you are on a human journey.

boxPietersite is a stone of vision and works strongly with the body during moving meditations. It is said to dispel the illusion of separateness and to remove beliefs and conditioning imposed by other people. It links you to the source of your own inner guidance and helps you to recognize the truth or falsehoods of other people words.

Pietersite can release you from vows and promises made in other lives that we have carried over into the present life, and supports your own will power.pend-pietersite133

Psychologically, Pietersite promotes walking your own truth.  It is an extremely supportive and strengthening stone, aiding in speaking out and exploring anything that is blocking your access to truth.  It assists in in processing ancient conflicts and suppressed feelings.
