garnetGarnet is a gemstone most commonly known as red, but is in fact found in a variety of colours.  Different types of Garnet have chemical formulas and spiritual properties. Most are varieties of aluminium silicates with either isometric, rhombic, dodecahedron and/or icositetrahedron crystal systems. Some types of Garnets have been known and used for thousands of years, while others, like Tsvarovite and Grossularite, were only discovered a few decades ago.
