Cinnabar is a mercury sulphide mineral with a trigonal crystal system. There are several version of where the name Cinnabar derives from. Some say it is from the Greek word ‘kinnabari’, other sources say it is from the Persian ‘shangarf’. In Latin it was sometimes known as ‘minium’, meaning ‘red lead’.
Cinnabar has been known as a stone of
transformation, of magic, alchemy and healing… and may be used to align all of the chakras and release fear and resentment.
This is a stone for manifestation and wealth creation and has been labelled as the ‘Merchants stone’, as it is a powerful stone to bring an increase of wealth into your business without inciting aggression. It aids sales people… as it will increase your assertiveness and may aid your speech to be more articulate and more persuasive. It is known to stimulate an increase in self confidence and to facilitate more fluency in your communication.
Mentally, Cinnabar imparts fluency to the mind and to speech. It connects to the acceptance of everything being perfect exactly as it is.
